Food As An Image
How people perceive food as image? Does perception for food change according to time?
This research was started based on this questions. Various food representation was researched from painting, commercial, internet images and so on. Food images from 16&17C tend to focus on quatity of food and presents image with elevation view. Images from 1960s frozen food shows food as mass production goods emphasizing efficiency in terms of preparing and consuming food. Images from internet today shows features that foods has small portion and is seems to be prepared carefully. Lots of food was captured from plan view. It implies people in today tends to be more attracted by the food with ‘quality’ rather than ‘quantity’.
