Building System Applied – The Ruin
Both parts of the building system, the guest and the host, are man-made. They do not grow or change over time. Nevertheless, because two different mental sequences are used to generate their form, or to make modifications to the form, the result is that the system seems as something that might change over time, and is in motion, non-static. It has animistic qualities.
Including both the guest and the host into the concept of infrastructure, rather than dealing with them as two opposing systems, results as a mediation between the two – the mutualistic relationship.
