As shown by the accompanying animation in the previous post, the movement and rotation of walls enable a number of unexpected scenarios to arise.
The starting scenario is an enclosed, internally segregated home. This is the typology we are most familiar with.
Four other configurations are shown here:
1. In “The inverted home”, typically domestic furniture and objects are exposed to external environments .
2. “The Open Plan” is achieved by sliding internal walls to the exterior.
3. “Mixed Plan” is a combination of centralized and decentralized planning.
4. “The Line” is perhaps the most dramatic and odd configuration, whereby wall pieces combine to form a long barrier.
