Precedent Study : Alhambra 2
Seen here is a study of one of the many geometrical patterns used as ornament in the Alhambra, found as panels on the walls. The most alluring aspect of this pattern is the lack of a clear figure/ground which prevents the eye from focusing on a single point. The moors believed the colours blue, red and gold, harmonised naturally. It was used extensively through numerous other patterns.
