INTER.ONE Tools for Architecture

Tools for Architecture is a research unit based at the Architectural Association in London formed by a team of architecture undergraduate students and lead by Space Popular directors Lara Lesmes and Fredrik Hellberg. Work at TFA aims to develop new experience driven design methods.

The First Room

The first room

The final version of the first room expresses the ideology of a spatial experience star from condense fabrics that surround players, which symbolize the infinite amount of choice on the internet before searching narrow down the selection into a serious hierarchy of items.

The fabric is removed that reveals a typical scene of one search: an architecture space with information flows embedded in its structure,  constantly attracting people to explore and break the structure from outside, and flows erose the structure from the inside. Another system that co-exists in the scene is handles and exposed structures, with handles embedded in the architecture, provide the limit amount of body interaction to the architecture and connect the shaking to corresponding doors appears on a different location of the wall.

In order to reach a different part of the structure for exploring new possibilities, circulation element: stairs do not build according to program but the need for access to different choice.
